Free Air Fryer Conversion Calculators
Air fryers cook hotter and faster than most other appliances, so a recipe written for an oven, microwave, or deep fryer needs adjusting. Each calculator below uses the correct formula for that specific heat source — pick the one that matches what your recipe was written for, enter the temperature and time, and get instant air fryer settings. Every tool is free, works in Fahrenheit and Celsius, and includes a printable chart.
Oven to Air Fryer
The classic conversion. Turn any conventional oven recipe into air fryer temperature and time (drop 25°F, cut ~20% time).
Air Fryer to Oven
The reverse. Convert an air fryer recipe back to conventional oven settings when you need to scale up or use the big oven.
Convection / Fan Oven to Air Fryer
A smaller adjustment, because a fan oven already circulates air. Drop only about 10°F.
Toaster Oven to Air Fryer
Convert toaster oven temperature and time to crispier air fryer settings.
Microwave to Air Fryer
Skip the soggy reheat. Find the air fryer temperature and time to reheat or cook food crispier.
Deep Fryer to Air Fryer
Same crunch, little to no oil. Convert deep frying oil temperature and time to air fryer settings.
Celsius & Gas Mark
For UK, Australia, NZ, and Europe. Oven to air fryer in °C, plus a full gas mark conversion chart.
Printable Cheat Sheet
A quick-reference cooking chart for common foods you can print and stick on the fridge.
Which Conversion Tool Should I Use?
Match the tool to whatever your recipe was originally written for:
- A standard oven recipe → use the Oven to Air Fryer converter (the home page).
- A fan-forced or convection oven recipe → use Convection to Air Fryer — the adjustment is smaller.
- A toaster oven recipe → use Toaster Oven to Air Fryer.
- Reheating something you’d normally microwave → use Microwave to Air Fryer.
- A deep-fried recipe you want to lighten up → use Deep Fryer to Air Fryer.
- A recipe in Celsius or gas marks → use Celsius & Gas Mark.
- Going from air fryer back to the oven → use Air Fryer to Oven.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the basic oven to air fryer conversion rule?
Lower the oven temperature by about 25°F (15°C) and reduce the cooking time by roughly 20%. So a recipe at 400°F for 30 minutes in the oven becomes about 375°F for 24 minutes in the air fryer. The calculators apply food-specific adjustments on top of this.
Are these conversion calculators free?
Yes. Every tool on FryConvert is completely free, with no sign-up or paywall. They run entirely in your browser and work on phones, tablets, and computers.
Do the tools work in Celsius?
Yes. Every calculator has a °F / °C toggle, and there is a dedicated Celsius and gas mark page for UK, Australian, and European cooks.
Why are there different calculators for different appliances?
Each heat source behaves differently. A convection oven already has a fan, a microwave uses no dry heat at all, and a deep fryer transfers heat through oil far faster than air. Using one universal formula for all of them would give inaccurate results, so each tool uses the correct adjustment for that appliance.
